I am Tony Wallis, your councillor for Castleford—and proud to call this town my lifelong home.

Born and raised here, I’ve spent my life walking the same streets, sharing the same concerns, and celebrating the same community spirit that makes Castleford such a special place. For the past 25 years, I’ve had the honour of serving as your representative on Wakefield Council.

A VOICE FOR CASTLEFORD

I believe that good representation means listening first, acting with honesty, and always staying grounded in the community I serve. I don’t make promises I can’t keep—but when I say I’ll do something, I do everything I can to deliver. Whether I’m speaking up for Castleford at Wakefield, attending community events, or simply stopping to chat in the town. 

I’m here to listen, help, and get things moving.

WHAT I STAND FOR

Over the years, I’ve worked with residents, campaigners, and local groups to:

• Support and strengthen community organisations
• Champion better public services
• Help shape regeneration projects that reflect our town’s real needs

• A Thriving Town Centre We Can be Proud of.
• Better leisure and work opportunities for Castleford’s young people
• Green Spaces that are healthy and safe.
• Better Public Transport
• Smarter Traffic Management
