Summer holidays are starting– days of sunshine (with luck), freedom, and fun.
But what do young people really think of this time?
I want to hear your views.
Are you loving every minute? Or feeling a bit bored now and then? Wishing there were more local things you can join in? This is your opportunity to share your views.
I've put together a short survey to tell me:
How you actually spend your summer holidays
What you enjoy the most or the least
What you wish was available to do
How you think we can make things better
The survey only takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Your answers will help shape ideas and decisions to make summer holidays for young people even better.

Please share this with friends, fellow students, and family too. The more voices we hear, the stronger the message. You don’t have to be a young person or actually live in Castleford to take part.
Thanks for helping us make Castleford a better place for young people. Let’s make every summer count.
Those who know the Smawthorne area know it is a very busy area for road traffic and pedestrians. A few years ago we began a 20 mph speed limit campaign but at that time money wasn't available.
Today, we are renewing that campaign with vigour.
Smawthorne has a school, children's nursery, a doctors surgery, elderly people - lots of vulnerable people and children trying to cross busy roads, which also have a large density of parked vehicles.
We are circulating a petition calling for a 20 mph speed limit on Smawthorne Lane and all roads leading off and Joffre and Briggs Avenue and Ashton Road.
We are also asking that the council look at providing a crossing on Smawthorne Lane near the shops, doctors, park entrance and the nursery.
Please support us. You do not have to be a resident to support. If you supported the previous petition, please add your name this new one.
